Kevin Love Fund 2023 Summer Fellowship Application
Thank you for your interest in the Kevin Love Fund summer fellowship. We will be
selecting candidates from a pool of high school students across the country. The focus of this fellowship is to destigmatize anxiety, depression, and challenging life experiences, while also supporting teens in gaining tools to increase their feelings of well-being. Additionally, participants will provide insight and feedback on new lessons to be added to our social emotional learning curriculum for the 2023/2024 school year.
Description of Fellowship:
Two Online Saturday Sessions – June 3rd and August 5th (10am-1pm PST/1pm-4pm EST): In these three-hour online sessions, fellows will take part in a curriculum orientation and then complete creative activities from the Kevin Love Fund curriculum. Student examples will be created from our work together and are integral for teachers and students who participate in the curriculum, deepening the understanding of these lessons and creative activities.
Independent Work: Between the two online sessions there will be four hours of asynchronous work. Students will have a Kevin Love Fund staff member to support them with this assignment.
This is a paid fellowship for ten hours at $15 per hour, or students can receive ten community service hours.
